hello there!

the beginning of years at the beginning of centuries are quite strange,
i suppose. there is a tension at the beginning of each century. i guess
human beings are fascinated by round numbers and by thresholds.

in these days we are doing the project "interviewing the crisis" as many
people around us started synchronically to speak about the project
before we even started it.
people with fears on their jobs, on the funding processes that keep
their organizations alive, people out of money or out of luck, people
worrying of the things happening worldwide to universities, governments,
public institutions, culture, art. people afraid of war, of climate
change, of material and immaterial violence.

it was the end/beggining of the year and boom! they started talking with
us about it, and the project started.

there's loads of strange people around :)
someone is calling the crisis a disaster, someone is calling it an
opportunity.
someone is worriyng a lot, and someone would just love it if everything
just burned down or blew up.
someone stopped reading the news.
someone tried to use water and energy wisely.
someone turned on their computers and tried to do something with it.
someone went in the streets.
someone started to study and research on the stock market.
someone started talking to institutions.
someone started talking to banks.
someone started talking to people.
someone went to second life.
someone went to facebook.
someone just kept on watching television.

the thing is: there definitely is a "tension".

my new year? barely noticed it... :)

the best possible new year to all of you!
xDxD
