Good questions - at this point, I hate Fb, but there is really no alternative, given the size of the potential audience and skein of contacts. I find myself an artist/musician, etc. manque, and as a result, Fb provides some sort of minimal release. But the constant shaping of user interfaces and content/sharing is horrific; as a simple example, every time I get on now, I have to reset the feed to recent from top stories - it looks like the choice "stays," but it doesn't. So there are presumably more analytics to be collectedf from top - and the result is subtle shaping; if I reset to recent (which I do), then it seems as if I'm missing all the excitement...
I haven't used blogs or wikis in a while - read them, just don't have any of my own. Given the amount of data online at this point, I really have less and less idea how to build audience, how to reach people - if that should even be a goal...
