Well, I don't work for HiSoft or anything.... but I've been very happy
with my Squirrel.  It, er, does what it sez on the tin.. :)

Some ppl get 115200 out of it. Many ppl have reliability issues above
33600.  The main problem is it loads the cpu with interrupts, which
severely hurts multitasking and general smoothness of operation. With
an 030 I would have thought you'd see problems. The Squirrel will do
200kbps if req'd at small cpu load and is buffered.

I guess so... I don't know tho'

I see your point.  Perhaps one of the other interfaces might be
better? A portplus or a Hypercom etc?  The Blizzard SCSI is miles
better performance than the Squirrel, but I have heard some
reliability issues with the Blizz interface.
