My cd is a Matshita CR-581 and a type 5 cd-rom device.  It uses the
tandemat_pcmcia.device and is unit 1.  It is revision 1.06 and
conforms to ANSI:2.

One thing to notice is that the cd has a cable which attatches to the
Alfa Data controller (in the PCMCIA slot). This adaptor can be removed
from the controller but not the cd.  It looks sligh\tly like an IDE
interface such as that of my hard drive
