The 8N1 device is getting a bit of a mention.   I think I will go with it.

But from the replies, it seems I asked the wrong question.

What I meant to ask was (for instance) if I want to use the 8n1.device
instead of the serial.device, how to I get netconenct (genesis) to use it.

Do I just go into genesie_prefs and change it there?

If so, as a check...

Which are the places I do it?
