My modem is plugged into a GVP I/O Extender and I do have it
communicating at 115200 baud (even though I have had it at 230400
before.) I connect to my ISP at 44000 baud.

OK, I'll try to look around. Do you know of any website in
particular?

I was referring to a Hayes command that either disables retrains or
changes the conditions of the retrain.
