Maybe it is just me but my inbuilt bias makes me feel instinctively
that I would rather deal electronically with a business connected to
Demon, U-Net, Prestel or an other "traditional" ISP.

A business using Freeserve, Tesco.net or any of the other "free" ISPs
begs to me the question why they are going the "free" route.
Presumably to save money on connection and service rental - but that
is only a few hundred pounds a year max (for twin ISDN + lots of
Domains) or a few thousand for faster-than-ISDN connections which any
business should be able to afford without problems. If they can't
perhaps they may go bust as they are short of money - and for obvious
reasons that makes me feel cagey about dealing with them.

OK so this is all speculation, but it _does_ affect my choice of who
to deal with on the internet...

Yes this email client is NOT Y2K complient - blame it on no update for
Netconnect2 (and �30 for the update when I just want to fix the bug is
excessive!)
