Howdy peeps,
Who remembers before V was (pre)released we were told Voyager would
have a new caching system so it didn't have to scan the disk for ages
every time you ran it?
Well originally I thought this was good, until I just discovered the
result is the cache simply doesn't get emptied.
I have my cache set at "Maximum Size" of 7192 Kbytes ie around 7MB.
But when I just when to "Tidy Cache" from the menu, my HD space shot
up by 47MB!
On checking the newly flushed cache, it now contains about 3588K of
data - half my setting.
So does anyone know what's going on? Why is there only half of what I
wanted in the cache, and why doesn't it flush itself? It's like
Microdot really, except at least Microdot only takes a short while to
flush. I had to leave Voyager for about 10 minutes :(
