Hello Chris

I feel prompted to reply though, since I happen to be one of them Amiga
users in 2000 your refered to :-). Chris, I don't care a bit about what
title you used. I care about the fact that started supporting me and a
couple of other Amiga users with software supplying. NC (I only started
using NC when version 2 came out) was a bundle that had all I needed to get
"netted" and more, which made a huge difference in my Amiga usage. Thank
you for that. NC3 has some programs improved, somethings I will never use
(hey, don't blame me, I still prefer to "handwrite" html pages, but I
remember when you asked on this list that people wanted metalweb in, so in
it is, I don't have to use it). Yes, the CD had two faulty files, but I
downloaded the correct ones and am happy with them. In case you want to
check my mailer, I'm using YAM here, but I also use MicroDOT for my mails.
I have YAM for mail to my personal address, and four accounts in MD set-up
for other addresses that I use. Thank you also for NC3.
Remember Chris, most of the time the "happy customers" will keep silent,
while the one or two who want to see problems shout the loudest on mailing
list! I now break this rule :). I'm not saying every program on the NC3 is
perfect for my needs, but what software ever is? I'm saying I have no
reason to flame you personally or as MD/owner/whatever of Active. I think
you know better than I how many copies of NC2 and 3 are sold, and the fact
that three of the same names keep popping up with complains, could very
well mean that all others are happy with what you done for them, and just
keeping silent.
BTW.: For all I care you could sign your e-mails with "the Pope", "John
Lennon" or whoever else belong to the higher spiritual circles. I'm getting
quite sick with all those "Chris Whiles Sucks" mails. I don't know Chris
personally, but I guess I could buy him a beer without problems if he ever
gets to Germany (or pays my trip over to visit him :)).

What's amazing is that people attack Chris personally, on a public mailing
list, fighting their private battles with Chris/Active on a public mailing
list, which, IMHO, was intended for users to get help on technical problems
(help from other users, and as an added bonus, sometimes from the
developers themselves). I can't imagine someone writing to a public windows
mailing list saying something like: "Billy Gates, you are a fool" (some
people might think there would be some truth in this statement, but
whenever I read in the papers about how much money he did make, he can't be
that much of a fool). Could we please get the "list mode" back to normal?
Like people having a problem with the software, asking here, getting advise
from helpfull friendly Amiga users, and live happily ever after?
