Chris,
So far I've kept out of this, for want of a better word, "debate".
Someone complained about whining. Well, I'm sure as hell tired of
listening to whining, but it isn't coming from you.
The comments you made above though prompt me to emphasise something
that one or two other people have been trying to say:
You implied at the time that you had a couple of hundred pre-orders
for NC3. One of 'em was mine. I received it about two days after the
official release date, and *pre-warned* by this mailing list that V
and Webvision might have problems, so I downloaded the replacements
before I'd even received the CD. Within an hour of receipt of the CD
I had a fully working installation that I continue to be *delighted*
to use right now. Why anyone else finds this process to be such a
problem is beyond me.
Just because a very few people continue to bitch and nitpick the
remainder of us, the *vast majority*, who have no problems lose the
support of people like yourself because of the idiocy of the few.
You know how many NC2's and NC3's you sold. Subtract the number of
individuals complaining (what? five maybe?) from that number and thats
how many *satisfied* customers you've got.
I raise issues of bugs, I submit reports to Keystone, I suggest
features to be implemented, NOT because I'm complaining but because I
want to support the software and show enthusiasm by suggesting
improvements. If the Vapor guys genuinely are fed up with NC users
based on the rantings of the few, thats a very sad state for the rest
of us..
Ian
