That's why I was a bit surprised at the mail I was replying to, because the author of it told me that only version 3.1 had problems, and that version 3.x was in fact a lot more stable than 2.96, saying I was probably the only one who had problems with previous 3.x releases. Heck, again, who cares about the past releases, when this bug has been found and fixed :) As I stated, I'm happy now.
