I think the trash folder is meant for trash, in other words mails you
don't need anymore. If you want to keep mails, I move them to a folder
I called Archive, and hit the archive button so that I don't delete
them by accident.

No. Try it, MicroDOT will tell you it can't delete "Trash". Which does
make sense, because without the trash, you couldn't delete old mails
you no longer use, and this might fill your diskspace up pretty soon,
if you're subscribed to the wrong lists :).
