If you were in the "/new" area that would be the right place. But
what's called New there, is simply a New list.

Click on Connect in the site list. In the config for that site, untick
ADT server[ ] below Host name. Set "Remote dir" as /ftp/pub/aminet and
click "Connect to FTP server". Once you are connected you will have a
full dir list and you can select /new.

Or you could set "Remote dir" as /ftp/pub/aminet/new and you are
already there. (In case YAM messes that, there are no italics!)

It's that ADT option that gotcha. That changes AmFTP from a general
purpose FTP program to an Aminet download access utility. Also, having
ADT server unselected stops all that messing around with downloading
the new list

Before you disconnect, download FTPMount (go back to ADT mode from the
settings menu.) I think you might like it a lot better than AmFTP. It
simply mounts a remote HD on you WB or Dopus screen and allows normal
disk operations as if it were a drive of your own, albeit a bit more
slowly.
