That' what networking basically is. Whether you use FTP or mount the
remote hard drives using a network filesystem, you're still transferring
files over TCP/IP.

You need an FTP *server* on one machine so you can connect to it with a
FTP program on the other. There are a few on Aminet

amiftpd19.lha comm/tcp 48128 Easy-to-use FTP service daemon for Miam
ftpd2.lha comm/tcp 52224 FTPdaemon v2.0 for AmiTCP
FtpDaemon.lha comm/tcp 37888 FTP Daemon for AmiTCP with MultiUser su
mlftpd_14.lha comm/tcp 38912 Ftpd v1.4 - Improved upload control
rcftpd.lha comm/tcp 146432 Rc-ftpd - the best ftpd for amiga ;-)
wu-ftpd-37.21.lha comm/tcp 207872 FTP Server for AmiTCP (bugfix release)

rcftpd is the only ones that's in current develpment.

I can't think why, they're basically the same card.

That's the way it is. With the predomince of Windies machines in most
offices, they are used as the common denominator. You work out how to
connect an Amiga to a PC, then how to connect a Mac to a PC. Then you
should be able to get the Amiga to talk to the Mac.

If you have ShapeShifter or Fusion, you could copy the files to the
emulated Mac's drive. The emulators can use the ethernet card and
driver in the Amiga, without needing any configuration of Genesis. Now
you only have the task of getting two Macs to talk to each other, which
should be much easier and handled by the OS.
