Will PACs or some alternative to PACs be supported in IAS6.0? We are heavily
dependent upon PAC (in particular the ICEPAC framework) to interface with
COM objects, CORBA Services and DLLs. We find it extremely useful to wrap
these under Custom PAC Services as it provide us with thread safety even
though the underlying DLLs and COM objects aren't. Will ND5.02 or its later
revisions address the need for this in a standard form?

It seems to me
that Sun/NetD
has made (or
implied) promises
that have gone by
the boards.

The NetD 4/5
support and migration
path to IAS 6.0 has
shortened since June.
Having bought the
NetD 4.x product,
we find our project will
be forced into upgrading
at each revision (to
enjoy the benefits of
J2EE support ).

There was supposed
to be a NetD 5.1 prior to
the IAS release...
This transition becomes
less and less smooth
for our effort.
