I've not read the draft, but this seems to be a Good Thing. Basically "impacted by revX" with a per-rev statement describing that impact. One thought for accommodating NBC for types such as the unknown-bits one is that each instantiation of it in a model simply does its own typedef of that typedef. It thus, as a base, inherits the underlying unknown-bits types, but provides a point of maintenance for individual values. -- Jeff
