Can you tell me why you love I2P so much? Hmm, Can't you just hook up your
raspberry pi to your router? You could connect it to a Desktop or laptop and
share your internet connection to it as well. Also, Why does your IP address
change so much if you don't mind saying? Yeah, I think that kind of thing is
good enough. But, The first person who tries to set up netsukuku, And learns
all these things, And goes through all the stuff of setting it up, Is going to
have to go through all of these even more complicated things. And all of that,
For no real gain, Because, We have yet to set anything up on netsukuku. So, At
the very least, We should create a script to run all of these commands, And we
should make one to install netsukuku, Or package it or something. My friend and
I are also working on that. We should start doing some more extensive network
testing. Like, Registering domains, Hosting a website, Other nodes accessing
it. Maybe we could even get the
very first Netsukuku Forum up? This would be really exciting, And at the very
least, It would be something real. Also, If possible, We could set up a
netsukuku portal, Or proxy. Which non-netsukuku people could use to surf
netsukuku to some extent. Like, Tor2Web so people could explore without taking
the plunge of installing so much. And it would be cross platform. This is, Of
course, A quick fix, But, Even once netsukuku is ported with a GUI and
everything. It would be  still nice to try before you buy so to speak. And we
should advertise that as such, Also, We should advertise this mailing list
more. Like on the netsukuku website, And we really should recruit some more
willing devs who can contribute code.

Basically, If i understand it right, once we have a VPN, any one of us
can open a tunnel and connect to it, and it'll form some basis for a
network.

I actually have ntk running on several devices, one of which, my
raspberry pi, which I can keep online most of the time. The problem is,
I don't have anywhere to connect to. while it's nice to play around with
my own LAN, it's pretty pointless.

I can set up the VPN on my end, the problem is, my IP changes every few
days, and so I cannot publish it.

There are other ways too, I have a TOR hidden service address (which I
am not using), so we can in theory route over TOR, we can use CJDNS as
the basis for our infrastructure, or even I2P tunnels, but all of those
are kind of hacks, even a VPN is not ideal, but it's the best we can do
until we have enough people that can just connect to one another to form
a real network.

Incidentally, I love I2P, and if someone will show me any evidence that
all the JAVA vulnerabilities do not effect it, I would love to go back
and use it, and I should have no problem using i2p tunnels for ntk.

If someone has another idea about how we can kick start this network,
please throw them at the list so we can figure out what's the best way
forwards.
