Hi,

Given the above, I propose the following:

 1) Formalise GPL version 2 as being the GPL version which NetSurf is

I normally would prefer my stuff to be BSD licensed, but in the case of NetSurf, GPL 2 is acceptable for my very minor contributions.

(I wish I could add more code :/ Doing the work to make it easier to modify pages once they've been fetched and rendered sounds quite exciting.)

 2) Come to an agreement about whether to permit the user to relicense
the software under future GPL versions. For reference, GPL version 3
has been recently released. This may be found at
    http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-3.0.html

I have no opinion on this, so I will go with the majority view.

 3) Include a specific exemption to permit linking against OpenSSL.

As above, I have no opinion on this, so I will go with the majority view.

If there's a problem with the above, just let me know.

Cheers for the email,
