More accurately, the suffix of a modem initialization string -- where
a command is but one of several commands to be sent to the modem in
SEPARATE operations, and is NOT the last command in Net-Tamer's
initialization string -- should be ^M, which is tokenized for CTRL-M or
a carriage return. ATZ or AT&F should always be treated as a separate
operation. Thus, they should appear in am initialization string with
an appended ^M. Therefore, to reset a modem and then to turn off the
speaker, one would create the following initialization string in
Net-Tamer:

ATZ^MATM0

Some modems are slow to process command lines while the computer
attempts to send multiple operations faster than the modem can accept
them. Thus, one can use commas or tlides as delay characters. For
example:

ATZ^M~~~ATM0

will build in delays. By the way, an initialization string will not
need a trailing ^M at the end of the last command on the
initialization string line. If one is not there, it's assumed that one
should be sent.

RS> Yes, there is. Put atm0 after your init string. Don't forget that, as it is
