HI, Guys,
IF you are going to have a huge tagline file, as in 954,000 bytes or
larger, a must-have utility is Charles Hallenbeck's fixtags program. It
can handle an almost unlimited number of taglines, can sort and merge
multiple huge files of taglines in one pass, formatting them, removing
duplictes, getting rid of blank lines and trash lines, and creating two
versions of the resulting finished tagline collection. One is a straight
ASCII text file you can edit with any large-file-capable text editor like
the edit.com that ships with Windows 95 or later,, and a nttags.dat file
in the format Net-Tamer expects to see when it looks at a tagline file.
This thing works very quickly, even on an old, slow, low-resource PC.
Get it free from:

If you think you can improve on it, the source code for the fixtags
program and the addressbook sorting fixlist program are in a file called
fixpack.zip at the same site. Now that's a free open-source piece of
software for you!
