Hello JUde,
Did you mean putting the "[=/privmsg" into the autoexec.bat file as a
"set command?
Something like,
"set [=/privmsg"
Not certain if that's what you ment?

-Nettamer has some macro writing capability in it. Is that
-capability available to open irc sessions? That's something Dave
-Colston may be able to answer. In any case perhaps setting
-[=/privmsg might help and users could remember to type the [
-followed by a space then their message to get this working. Even
-so, I think Dana is right and if Linux and Unix users can send to
-channels by just typing text in, certainly registered users of
-nettamer ought to be able to do likewise. Remember Linux and Unix
-users can download; install, and use their versions of irc for free
-no registration required. It is true what nettamer offers
-certainly is a cut down version of those real irc programs.
-Perhaps for registered users of nettamer in future versions Dave
-Colston might properly be encouraged to put more of the real irc
-program features into nettamer. Jude <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
