Thelist was taken over or merged into egroups. Egroups was taken over
by Yahoo! and is now Yahoogroups. There seems to be some sort of limit
on the number of messages you can send to different Yahoo! e-mail
addresses or so I've been told. I'm not sure how there could be a limit
to posting to a mailing list _except_ that it might not allow you to
make more than a certain number of posts during one session in order to
keep you from flooding the mailing list. I believe that may be the case
with Yahoogroups, but don't know the limit off hand.

What's the difference in writing them outside? You still have to send
them via Net-Tamer. Net-Tamer has to number individual messages in
order to separate them. The notation seems to be in hex rather than
decimal. That is, it starts with "01" and continues through "0F" before
going to "10" and so on. That means you have fifteen prior outgoing
messages before a new outgoing message is named "mail.$10" in your user
directory.

I think that works out to 15 by 15 or 225 possible outgoing messages
before you run out of numbers. That's only for individual messages.
Once again, if you use the list feature which allows you to use a
filename as the address for the message, you don't have even that 225
message limit, assuming you want to send the _same_ message to everyone
in the list. As I mentioned before, your ISP may have some limitation
on the number of messages you can send in any one session. The safest
thing to do is ask before trying to send some huge number of messages.
