Most people are unconcerned and don't care that M$ is engaged in
illegal, unethical, anti-competitive and monopolistic business
practices because they feel that M$ should and ought to be the
universal standard for everybody. They think their M$ operating
systems and their M$ software is superior to everybody else's and
they think the whole world should buckle under and conform to
the Micro$oft ways of doing things. The problem with their holding
such opinions as those is this:

If M$ is allowed to get away with such illegal business practices
with such impunity, then every other business enterprise ought to
be allowed to get away with the same kinds of shenanigans. What
if all the other software companies were to go about organizing a
huge conspiracy to screw with Micro$oft in the same ways that
Micro$oft is screwing with them?

In other words, if white people are allowed to get away with
lynching black people, then black people ought to be allowed to
get away with lynching white people. If protestants in Northern
Ireland are allowed to throw bricks at catholics, then catholics
ought to be allowed to throw bricks at protestants.

Civilized peoples cannot put up with such anarchy as this. The
same laws must be applied equally to everybody, no matter who you
are and no matter how much favor you have curried with the
government.
