IMO FSF is one organisation while FOSSCOM is a banner of several
organisations and individuals thus making FOSSCOM an ideal platform
to take up the important issue of patents. In India, it was several other
organisations and political parties which took up the issue of patents first.
We need to look at organisational strength and potential and FOSSCOM
has an advantage here.

As proposed before, I think that if some sort of working groups can be
created then each individual/orgn can make a choice and work on the
issue that is closest to them. FOSSCOM is big enough for everyone and
for all issues affecting FOSS.
