I think we all on the list are matured enough to understand this. "pointing fingers " ment the point about the policies themselves. since off late policies are at least mentioning "Open source " and saying that this should be dropped is wrong.

I wanted Sunil's response not to know what and why his organisation takes a certain stand, but to know the view behind that. If some individual or organisation favoring proprietory technologies was in question then there is no point debaiting. But Sunil is one of my friend and I know him to b a great supporter of FOSS. He also has his view and since he has taken the stand in question. It is very essential to know his understanding or idea. We may never know he has totally different thing in mind. I Still feel that rather than making an equal playing ground for every one, thus indirectly justifying at least participation of proprietory organisations, we should infact think of promotion of open standards as the best platform for bringing in FOSS and the representation from community and the industry around FOSS. There is no doubt that wcag *must* become a policy. But how we design the policy itself and who represents the concerned partys is what worries me. Happy hacking.
