Hi

foscomm folks should write questions to some MPs ( especially the ones whom 
foscomm have some contact with) and see how many NRCFOSS answers SHRI SACHIN 
PILOT - come up with - I guess I saw couple of questions from two left MPs in 
Kerala, Rajeev and Sampath - they might more interested and committed to free 
software . When the site was running I saw a goa congress mp asked a question 
in 2003 to which I said they were looking into nrcfoss being setup.

c), (d) and (e): No, Sir. However the Department of Information Technology 
(DIT) has taken steps towards promotion of Free and Open Source Software. DIT 
has set up a National Resource Centre for Free and Open Source Software 
(NRCFOSS) at Centre for Development Advanced Computing (C-DAC), Chennai. Anna 
University KBC Research Centre is also participating in the same. Apart from 
undertaking development of tools and HR programmes, the Centre is working 
towards setting up of support centres, promotion of Free/Open Source Software 
and use of same in various initiatives jointly with Central and State 
Governments.
