Ample of examples on the internet. Forget CC, publishers exploit
Copyrighted work too. A simple google search will throw many cases of
ALL RIGHTS RESERVED photographs being used by international publishers
without asking for permission. Infact one of my photographs
http://www.flickr.com/photos/vivekkhurana/4403614273/in/set-72157623547780522/
was used by DNA Pune when covering GNUNIFY 10. The photograph was
copyrighted and they used it without my permission and without giving
me credits. Incidently, one of the organizers and a well known face in
FOSS world had pointed DNA Pune to photographs by participants without
caring about license terms and DNA ended up using one of them thinking
this is part of official photographs (apologies followed later). So,
my point is when publishers dont care about copyrighted work do you
think they will bother about giving Attribution to CC license? NC
atleast gives some teeth to the content creator against such
publishers.

Vivek
