If you ask industry to take responsibility for preventing crimes, which is the absolute indisputable duty of the state. Ask the very same women how they find it unplatable when daft police and politicians talk about "indecent" clothes, visit to pubs etc. How about laws that define these for women? I doubt that there will be anything more ridiculous. You dont make safe the streets for this or that person, or from 9 to 5, or at 10 Janpath. You make it safe 365 days of the year in 100% of the country, for 100% of the people. Not by stupid passing the buck, curfews, shutting bars and such other rubbish, but pursuing every crime and getting 100% conviction. Present conviction rate: 4% !!! The state is passing the buck, and everyone is falling for it. > > >Incidentally, what is the "exploitation of women" that is specific to > > this sector and not covered under normal laws? < > > I'm also interested to know more about this. -- Rgds JTD _______________________________________________ network mailing list [email protected] http://lists.fosscom.in/listinfo.cgi/network-fosscom.in
