The entire aargument of states/ government's having rights to snoop is questionable. And when we clearly know that there is a nexus between big companies and governments makes it even more dangerous. So even of according to the NSA what they did was correct and snodan is doing a crime by revealing it, it still does not hold ground. So if some one leaked private photos or the government carrying out complete snooping operations, both are equally wrong.
No one has right to do this.
Just because some mighty power or even the national power does it, that is totally wrong. So issue is are we excepting selective snooping and just have to punish private agents?
Happy hacking.

What about those then who snooped on every one as per snoden?

I do not know enough about Mr Snowden's "as per", since his information is
still being revealed in daily doses via the Guardian, and other media.

I will stipulate, for this argument, that Mr Snowden provided
inconvertible evidence that the NSA read my email.

And you read a file from my Dropbox.

So what? The latter is likely to be a crime, the former is not.

You or I walking around with a gun is an offence; the 3rd Rajputana Rifles
marching with mortars down Rajpath is not. There is a reason it is called
"The State". Right or wrong, a State may take actions that it forbids its
citizens to do.

Krishnakant, the loss to the people whose privacy was invaded exists,
irrespective of what other people have lost. When you stub your toe, me
talking about how others have lost their legs does not help your pain, nor
(imn my opinion) is it an appropriate response.
