Hello again,

Gosh - the questions (and help) are coming faster than I can reply to them!
OK - it never occured to me that the type of Cd (650 or 700 MB) would be an
issue.  Just my luck (and that'll teach me for trying to save a few bucks).

I have checked the jumpers on the CD-ROM and CD-RW - they are set as per my
last post with system specs.

My internet connection is dial-up, and not very fast at all.
