OK, read this but I think not the kind of jackplug I have to deal with,

Mine is a "3.5mm Stereo jack plug with strain relief" from the packaging

In reality the central jack is 15mm long with a 3.5mm diameter and has
a tip middle contact and a contact rear serface.

I don't think the descripting given in this reference is the same.
