kword character spacing ===================

kword sends a printfile to another printer model with correct
character spacing,while the same file to my printer does not.

Seems this problem is font related.

see,
http://www.koffice.org/faq/#InprintoutKOfficereplacessomeofmyfontswithdifferentfonts

I'm told,
>The best bet is to use another font (and to make sure your Qt is linked to Xft, and that

>Use Unicode TTF fonts, like Utopia or Verdana...

Also,
>To make fonts printable to KOffice, the fonts in question

>This applies to TrueType as well as Type1 fonts.
>As KOffice doesn't necessarily use the correct ghostscript font names,

>/ArialBlack-Roman /Arial_Black ;
>/Arnoldboecklin-Roman /ArnoldBoecklin-ExtraBold ;

So there seems to be a font mapping problem.

I generally use helvetica in kword, so what on earth do I have to do to
get helvetica to print off normally. All this font business is way over my
head and I don't understand a word (excuse the pun)of it

On the above site there is a shell script called kwdfont(which I guess once
you have copied it, ought to be called kwdfont.sh) and so what do I do with
it and what answers do I give when it asks me the questions ?

Any help and assistance appreciated.
