I actually don't mind ads so much. One of favourite sites is Salon.com, and every day I have to go through some clicking on links and waiting through a quick ad to get my "free day pass", but it's a small price to pay for great content. This is why this RealPlayer thing is bugging me so much. On the Jon Stewart site, you had to watch a quick ad before the video would play (hence the javascript crap, I guess). Why not, like you say, embed the ad in the video and just let me download it so I can view it in any way I wish. No, they gotta make you watch the ad *every time you click*. Sheesh. Anyhow, I'm gonna take a look around on that site for a contact e-mail and send them one of my infamous "be more Linux friendly or we won't play with you no more" missives. -- JoeHill ++ ICQ # 280779813 Registered Linux user #282046 Homepage: www.orderinchaos.org +++++++++++++++++++++++++++ "Every now and then when your life gets complicated and the weasels start closing in, the only real cure is to load up on heinous chemicals and then drive like a bastard from Hollywood to Las Vegas."-- Hunter S.
