When you start up the pc, do you see something like a selection menu? In there
(it is either Lilo or Grub) you should find an option to start "dos". That is
windows.
If you do not see it, then I hope you did not let diskdrake wipe out your dos
partition on install.

Almost any external modem will work. US Robotics and Dynalink will certainly
work, since I have used/seen both of these do well.
