I have tried different mirrors with the same results. I tried urpmi
--update but it didn't help either. What do I need to do in order to
get everything updated to the LE2005 edition?

If you check the mirror with your browser, you will see that the version of urpmi on the mirror is urpmi-4.6.24-3mdk, which is a newer version than your system is looking for.

I suggest that you run the command urpmi.update -a to update your hdlists, and then try urpmi --auto-select again. If it still doesn't work, let us know.
thanks Margot, good observation.

as reported 2 days ago,
urpmi.update -a && urpmi --auto-select
results in the failure Travis is describing.

urpmi.update -a
alone gives no error but then in mcc software manager: updates:
Upgradable: drakxtools-10.2-22mdk, drakxtools-backend-10.2-22mdk, drakxtools-newt-10.2-22mdk, gurpmi-4.6.24-2mdk, harddrake-10.2-22mdk, harddrake-ui-10.2-22mdk, indexhtml-10.2-3mdk and urpmi-4.6.24-2mdk
show up but can not be installed because not found on the server.

The other thing that you can do is go to the Mandrake Mirrors page and download the rpm yourself, then pointing urpmi at it, run the install at the local file.
is it usual that Mandriva wouldn't fix the index file for days ?

kind regards     philippe
