Further to that is this when I try a network restart:

Bringing up interface wlan0:
Determining IP information for wlan0...External network device eth0 is not 
ready. Aborting..
 failed.
                                                                [FAILED]

It can't be my eth0, I hope, because I'm obviously using it.  So it looks like 
the router.  If I'm wrong in that assumption please let me know.
