That explains what adhoc is , thanks, I never tried it but some of my fiddling 
to get my system to work may have gotten me confused about the channel 
number. I added that, amoung other bits,  on advice from someone on mandriva 
forum. And by the time I was done adding this and deleting that I was never 
really sure what made it work correctly.
