A kind advice : When posting to the newbie list, please blank out your
"reply to" field in your browser. If not, our answers go directly to you,
not he list, thus eliminating the whole idea of a list. Besides, you'll
probably get duplicate answers to the same question, because others can't
see previous answers.

Well, until I get everything running and become familiar enough with Linux
I'm using my Windoze machine for most things. With Outlook there isn't a
"Reply To" address box on the e-mail itself. It's in the main settings for
the program. In most e-mail server programming it doesn't seem to bother if
the group settings are set to "reply to list". Perhaps there isn't a setting
for that with this server.

Anyway, right now I have that turned off in Outlook main settings.

I've been playing around with Thunderbird on my laptop but we haven't been
going out of town much lately so it's not getting much use. At some point I
may switch from Outlook to Thunderbird.

I remember that "kill" icon from the early Mandrake distro days.

Had to take it off of every one of my kids setups. Nothing like bringing
that
up, then clicking on the ---> desktop <---

I'm glad I didn't do that. *<[:oD

If you are going to stick with using Mandrake, you should realy upgrade
to at lease 10.1, or 2005LE.

Well, I sort of fell into the Mandrake by accident. We were at the flea
market [ shopping mall for the monetarily challenged ] and there was a guy
that had three boxes of computer stuff for $5 each. We are always on the
lookout for cheap because we build and loan/sell some of our excess
computers to those less fortunate than we are [ Sometime we can get someone
an older box that will allow them to get by for a while for less than $50.
Got a great little box sitting here on the floor that we've probably got $15
invested in. ]. Other times we loan them when someone crashes till they can
get theirs back. It just happened that Mandrake was in there amongst all the
other stuff so I'm thinking to myself, "Self, why not give it a try? One way
to get your feet wet, so to speak." I'm not jumping in over shoe sole deep
till I get used to it and learn how to operate it. The SuSE I downloaded for
free off the internet site and burned the installation CD's.

At least that's my story and I'm sticking to it. *<[:oD
