I have tried privoxy in both Firefox and Opera. In both cases I have seen no noticable delays in browsing. At least, not since I uninstalled Kat. I currently view email at gmail, hotmail, yahoo, and webmail on my website using squirrelmail. No issues there except that I do not see the advertisements (if you would call that an issue :) ). There are sites that I go to without the www. These have come up fine. I do know exactly how the zone files are set for these sites because I am helping in some of their developement. So far, so good.
