I've been given an Audigy SoundBlaster pcmcia notebook card for my ThinkPad
T23 which runs Mandriva LE 2005. Unfortunately when I install the card in the
slot and boot up linux the bootup stalls and freezes on 'searching for new
hardware'. If freezes KDE if I install the card after Mandriva has booted and
I'm in KDE. Everything freezes and I have to re-boot.

Should I somehow disconnect the system sound before bootup and then install
the card in the pcmcia slot? How do I do that?
Is there anything else I should do before I install the card.

Perhaps there's an issue with Audigy2 ZS and LE 2005 (Linux kernel 2.6.11.6) ?
Dunno what to think. If anyone just happens to have used this card or knows
anything about a problem with the card, and how to fix it, please let me know.
BTW -the card works perfectly on Windblows 2000

Santa gave me this card, I know where he lives...
