I suspect that many, perhaps most, are here because they love to
tinker, and can't in Windows. Techies LOVE it! Some, like me, are here
because they dislike the company and its behavior. Others, again like
me, see a more stable OS. I, and others, see an OS that protects my
privacy and is much more secure. And don't forget all that marvelous
software! I can see quite a few reasons why people are here, even if
it's not as good in the 'just works' realm.

I don't want a clone of Windows either. I want linux to 'just work',
with the non-clone features I mentioned above, hopefully with less
tinkering [sorry to offend you tinkerers :-)].
