Well Anne, that doesn't work either. In the Shutdown tab the block for shut down is set for "Local: Everybody" and "Remote: Root", which is as it should be. The only other choices given is in the second block which lists the files/commands to use. Those are "Halt: /sbin/halt" and "Reboot: /sbin/reboot". A check of the sbin directory shows that those programs are in existence and and listed correctly. Any other ideas?
