I was mistaken, I did not have the -devel package installed. See my other post as well, I set up urpmi and did what I thought was correct in attempting to install it, but it doesn't seem to be installed or...something. I'm getting a little bit confused, I'm sure there's one thing I'm missing that will clear things up. Thanks again for your help.

Please let us know how you confirmed this and exactly which RPM is installed,
please. Not that I doubt you but I have confirmed that both of the two rpm
packages for Mandriva contain the mysql_config file. So, just to save me
from wasted effort, if you can confirm the exact name of the rpm file that is
installed, that would be helpful.
