Okay - to test - I logged out and in again, rebooted. Same thing - had
to reset eth0. /ect/resolv.conf okay
you have the dhcp server (router/modem) set to issue an IP based on
dhcp, but have fixed IPs for the computers. they have to all be set to
one method or the other. you must decide if you _need_ fixed IPs and
tell the router to use those fixed IPs or save some headaches and tell
everything to use dhcp.
