which was a kernel security advisory from December 21st, 2005
I've got, and had installed kernel-2.6.12.14mdk-1-1mdk.i586 for a while. Did
not grab the kernel-source at the time.
I agree with your recommendation to upgrade to kernel-2.6.12.17, not least
because that too is a security advisory.
