----CJ's Reply---- Since usb is PnP complient, you should be able to unplug the usb device directly (with the computer on) and mandriva should detect the change and apply it. However, since its a usb drive, i seriously dont recommend unplugging it while the computer is on. What i would do is shut off the computer and unplug it ----end of reply----
I do it all the time without any trouble. AutoFS makes a lot of difference.
