> > It's a game, commercial software with major copy protection. > > Wait a minute... you _paid_ for this game? > > Ain't that the first sign of the Apocalypse?! :-) Hey, I don't mind payin' for quality entertainment. But I *did* 'warez' the Cedega RPM's ;-) only so I could play MOHAA (which still won't work under Linux...crash city). HalfLife2, though, I'm returning. Apparently running it on Windows is even a hassle, register this, register that, can't even play unless yer online and connect with some server to 'activate' the game...what a bunch of crap. This paranoia about protecting their 'intellectual property' (meaning $) only hurts the honest end-user. I might even dump the Cedega. I don't think I should support a project that gives no incentive for game companies to make their product run on Linux. It's not that fscking hard, one guy's almost got MOHAA running, imagine a whole crew of developers from EA games working on it. -- JoeHill / RLU #282046 / www.freeyourmachine.org +++++++++++++++++++++++++++ "True communication is possible only between equals, because inferiors are more consistently rewarded for telling their superiors pleasant lies than for telling the truth." -- The SNAFU Principle ____________________________________________________ Want to buy your Pack or Services from Mandriva?
