Hi there!
Prepare for a real newbie-question...
I have recently installed FreeBSD but I didn�t install X from start, that�s because
I wanted to install v.4 and not the older version which was shipped with the CD.
Anyway, after having answered a lot of questions about the scanning frequency and
colors and so on I got the question about my video-card. Since I did not find
the correct card I did not chose a specific Video-Card.
When I try to start X with startx I get the following message/obituary notice:
Fatal server error:
AddScreen/ScreenInit failed for driver 0
X connection to :0.0 broken
Xauth :(argv):1:bad display name "jepsovitz.chello.se:0" in remove command
My Video-Card is a Hercules-card:
64M 3D Prophet Kyro2
Shall I give up on installing X with my Video-Card or is there a sollution?
