Umm, I don't think we want to tell this guy to build KDE from ports. 
Aside from the time, there's just too many snakes hiding in those
woods.  FreeBSD has the package collection, 6000 pre-configured and
pre-built application binaries.

Abbaasi, before you start worrying about KDE, first get your base system
configured, then get XFree86 configured to your liking, then download
the KDE *packages* and pkg_add to install them.
