Hi there, and thanks for you're help. Typing X -configure seems only brings up a screen of command line switches.
The config file resides in /etc/X11/XF86Config wilt a symlink from /usr/lib//X11/XF86Config I'm not sure what r128 and sth mean, but searching XF86Config for these comes up with nothing. There's several driver entries, one for each "server" For example, the " The Color SVGA server" entry has Driver "svga".
